LOOKING AT THOSE NUMBERS, WHEN YOU HAVE OVER TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED REQUESTS AND WITH A FOCUS ON EQUITY, IF YOU'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT DISTANCE LEARNING, SEEING THE DISTRICT COMMIT TO MAKING SURE THAT ALL OF OUR STUDENTS COULD CONNECT AND PARTICIPATE IN THAT, IT JUST IT WAS REMARKABLE TO SEE AS A PARENT AND AS A BOARD MEMBER.
AND THEN SECONDLY, THE MEAL PROGRAM, YOU KNOW, EVERY DISTRICT'S OFFERING IT.
AND SUCCESS WAS NEVER ABOUT JUST OFFERING THE PROGRAM.
IT'S ABOUT GETTING THE MEALS IN THE BELLIES OF THE KIDS.
AND WE HAVE PROVEN THAT TO BE A PRIORITY OF OURS.
AND SO WHEN YOU HAVE A FOUR WEEK NUMBER OF OVER FORTY SEVEN THOUSAND MEALS.

YOUR VISION FOR THE DISTRICT HAS BEEN SUCH A WELCOME VISION, AND ITS BEAUTY IS IN ITS SIMPLICITY WITH ITS CORE VALUES AND REALLY HAVING THE KIDS FOCUS OR THE DISTRICT FOCUSED ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS.
AND THAT'S THE KIDS AND OUR BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD OF US.

AND FROM CARL TO SUSAN TO MATT AND AND KEVIN, YOU DON'T TRAIN FOR THIS.
AND I'M JUST DELIGHTED WITH HOW FLEXIBLE, HOW RESILIENT OUR LEADERSHIP IS IN THIS INSTANCE. AND I KNOW THAT THE CHALLENGES ARE POSSIBLY JUST BEGINNING.

HOPEFULLY WE'LL HAVE KIDS IN THE CLASSROOMS IN THE FALL AND TEACHERS WITH THEM, AND WE'LL HAVE SOME SEMBLANCE OF NORMALITY.
I JUST NOTICED ONE SEMBLANCE OF NORMALITY, I SAW A LOT MORE GOING OUT TO MOW LAWNS OUT IN ONE OF THE SCHOOLS. SO THE WORK GOES ON AND A LOT OF APPRECIATION ALSO TWO BARGAINING UNITS, THE CSEA AND BUTA FOR THE FLEXIBILITY THAT THEY'RE SUPPORTING WITH THE LEADERSHIP HERE AT THE DISTRICT. AND AND, YOU KNOW.

AND I THINK SOME SHIELD FRAMES FOR THE FACE SHIELDS, TOO.
SO IT JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT OUR PEOPLE, WHILE THEY'RE WORRIED ABOUT THEIR STUDENTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE GOING ON, THEY'RE THINKING BIGGER PICTURE AND TRYING TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE AS WELL AND USING THINGS TO DO THAT.
AND I HAD SEVERAL STAFF OVER THE LAST MONTH OR SO WILL SAY, YOU KNOW, WE NEED TO DONATE ALL OUR GLOVES AND MASKS AND EVERYTHING TO THE HOSPITALS BECAUSE THEY'RE SHORT.
AND ONE OF THE THINGS I MENTIONED TO THEM WAS WE DON'T KNOW WHEN WE'RE GOING TO OPEN BACK UP AND WHAT OUR SUPPLIES ARE GOING TO BE.
SO, WELL, SOME DISTRICTS THAT HAD THOUSANDS OR TENS OF THOUSANDS OF EXCESS DID, WE'RE PRUDENT IN MAKING SURE THAT WHEN WE OPEN UP AND IF WE OPEN UP, WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED TO KEEP OUR KIDS AND OUR STAFF SAFE BECAUSE WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REORDER IN TIME FOR THAT. BUT I DO APPRECIATE USING THE 3-D PRINTERS, WE CAN GET OUT AND ENCOURAGE ANYONE THAT WOULD WANT TO.

YOU KNOW, ON THAT SAME NOTE, THE BEST PREDICTOR OF FUTURE SUCCESS IS PAST SUCCESS AND ULTIMATELY HOW THEY HANDLE THOSE THOSE TIMES.
BUT WITHOUT A DOUBT, BONITA UNIFIED OUR 10000 STUDENTS AND OUR 1100 EMPLOYEES, WHAT I CAN AFFIRMATIVELY LET YOU KNOW IS THAT THE SCHOOL BOARD IS THAT WE WILL COME OUT STRONGER FOR THIS. WE WILL BE BETTER BECAUSE OF IT.
YOU KNOW, WE'VE ALREADY SEEN SO MANY OF THESE AMAZING THINGS THAT YOU'VE MENTIONED.
YOU KNOW, FOOD SERVICES FOR 50000 MEALS IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME TO FAMILIES WHO NEED IT, OVER TWO THOUSAND CHROMEBOOKS IN THREE DAYS TO A DRIVE THROUGH A SYSTEM THAT TOOK LESS THAN 60 SECONDS TO PASS OUT TO FAMILIES.
SUCH A COORDINATED EFFORT TO ENSURE THAT ALL OF OUR STUDENTS HAVE WHAT THEY NEED FOR REMOTE LEARNING. AND WE JUST MENTIONED ABOUT THE 3-D MASKS, REALLY PUTTING HUMANITY IN THE FOREFRONT OF WHAT WE'RE DOING OUT THERE.
AND, YOU KNOW, FROM MY PROSPECTIVE, IT IS SO NICE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A BOARD MEETING, IT'S SO NICE TO SEE OTHER FACES AND NOT THROUGH A VIDEO SCREEN, AND OUR DISTRICT IS SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE A BOARD THAT PUTS PEOPLE FIRST AND WHOLEHEARTEDLY BELIEVES IN THEM AND THAT TRUSTS THEM AND IT'S NOT UNNOTICED.
