I'M THE [INAUDIBLE] PRESIDENT AT BONITA HIGH SCHOOL.

OUR DRAMA DEPARTMENT HAD AUDITIONS FOR THEIR SPRING MUSICAL, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO SEE OUR BEARCATS ON STAGE.

LAST WEEK WE HAD OUR [INAUDIBLE] TROUBADOURS THE ROPES OF SINGING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT OUR BASKETBALL GAMES. WE LOVE SEEING OUR CURRENT AND FUTURE BEARCATS SINGING TOGETHER.

WINTER SPORTS ARE WRAPPING UP AND GOING INTO PLAYOFFS.

OUR WRESTLING TEAM HAD ONE OF THE BEST SEASONS IN YEARS, AND OUR BASKETBALL, SOCCER AND GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAMS ALL REPRESENTED BONITA WELL WITH GREAT SEASONS.

SPRINGS SPORTS ARE BEGINNING THEIR PRACTICES TO PREPARE FOR THEIR SEASONS.

[INAUDIBLE] WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL.

WE HAD THIRTY FIVE DIFFERENT CLASSES REPRESENTED IN THE SQUAD FOR STUDENTS TO TALK TO THE TEACHERS ABOUT CLASSES TO PICK FOR NEXT YEAR AND AS ALWAYS, OUR AP STUDENTS ARE WORKING HARD TO PREPARE FOR THEIR AP TEST IN A FEW MONTHS.

BONITA'S FIRST EVER SPRING FLING THEME IS CARNIVAL DE BONITA.

IT'S GOING TO BE ON FEBRUARY 25TH IN THE QUAD.

THIS IS GOING TO BE A COUNCILMAN DANCE WITH THE DJ, AND OUR CLUBS AND GROUPS ON CAMPUS WILL BE SPONSORING BOOTHS AT THE EVENT, WITH THINGS FROM BRACES AND FOOD TO FORTUNE TELLERS AND FACE PAINTING.

OUR FIRST RALLY OF THE SEMESTER WILL BE NEXT WEEK.

WE ARE ALSO PREPARING TO HAVE 8TH GRADERS ON OUR CAMPUS ON MARCH 7TH FOR THEIR EIGHTH GRADE RALLY. WE WERE SO EXCITED TO SHOW THEM WHAT BONITA IS ALL ABOUT.

ON JANUARY 14, WE ZOOM'D IN OUR SECOND [INAUDIBLE] ASSEMBLY, CELEBRATING THE END OF OUR SECOND QUARTER. WE ANNOUNCED OUR BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD AND PLATINUM STUDENTS.

TO REACH THE PLATINUM TIER, A STUDENT MUST HAVE EARNED MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THEIR CREDITS.

SO THEY MUST BE EARNING CREDITS THROUGH C-TECH OR SOMETHING OUTSIDE OF THE REGULAR CLASS SCHEDULE. THIRTY STUDENTS REACHED THE PLATINUM TIER.

WE ALSO PLAYED THE PRICES RIGHT FOR SEVEN MOVIE TICKETS.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR MONTHLY WORKING MUTUALITY THIS FRIDAY.

CONGRATULATIONS, TO OUR COUNSELOR, MRS. R. WHO IS THE RECIPIENT OF THE SAN DIMAS ROTARY [INAUDIBLE] GRANT.

SHE'LL BE USING THIS GRANT TO HELP SUPPORT OUR COLLEGE AND CAREER PROGRAM.

AT THAT POINT, WE WILL HAVE SEVEN STUDENTS REMAINING WHO WE'LL BE PRESENTING AT A LATER DATE. ON JANUARY 24TH, WE HELD A CITRUS COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOP.

STUDENTS WERE INTRODUCED TO THE FIRST STEP TOWARD APPLYING TO CITRUS.

THE WHOLE STAFF AT. CHAP-VISTA WILL CONTINUE TRAINING WITH DR.

JOEL HOOD ON FEBRUARY 15.

AS YOU KNOW, OUR BLACK COMMUNITY IS COMMITTED TO MEETING THE EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL NEEDS OF STUDENTS AS WELL AS THEIR ACADEMIC NEEDS.

ARTS THIS CREDIT ART CLASS WE'RE WORKING ON LINOLEUM BLOCK PAINTING.

STUDENTS ARE CREATING IMAGES TO EXPRESS A VIEW ON A SOCIAL ISSUE.

STUDENTS FIRST WORK ON PRELIMINARY SKETCHES AND WE TRY AND SIMPLIFY THEM WITH THE USE OF SYMBOLS AND ICONS TO TRANSMIT AN IDEA REALLY SIMPLY.

THEN WE TRANSFER THIS DRAWING ONTO A BLOCK OF LINOLEUM AND STUDENTS USE A CARVING TOOL TO SCOOP OUT THE AREAS OF LINOLEUM THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO BE INKED.

WHEN THE STUDENTS ARE FINISHED WITH THIS, THEY THEN USE A ROLLER FULL OF INK TO INK THE BLOCK AND THEN STAMP THIS IMAGE ON A PAPER MULTIPLE TIMES.

ACTIVITIES. WE ARE BUSY PLANNING OUR PROM, WHICH WILL BE MARCH 4TH AT THE SAN DIMAS CIVIC CENTER. THIS YEAR'S THEME IS MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT.

SO STUDENTS WILL BE DANCING AND TRYING TO SOLVE THE MYSTERY AT THE SAME TIME.

LAST THURSDAY, WE HELD OUR FIRST LUNCHTIME POETRY READINGS D.

HERNANDEZ, [INAUDIBLE] AND I EACH READ OUR ORIGINAL POEMS. I WAS NERVOUS, BUT I'M GLAD I DID IT.

WE HAVE STARTED OUR PING PONG TOURNAMENT THIS YEAR.

WE ARE HOLDING IT OUTSIDE AS LONG AS THE WIND DOESN'T COME BACK.

SPORTS, OUR SOCCER SEASON HAS BEGUN.

WE PLAYED OUR FIRST GAME THIS MORNING.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE OTHER SCHOOL HAD CANCELED, BUT WE HAD TWENTY TWO ON THE TEAM AND WE'RE ABLE TO PLAY AN INTRA-SQUAD GAME.

WE WILL SOON BE STARTING OUR CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT FOLLOWING PING PONG.

IN OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT, WE ARE DOING AMAZING IN OUR WINTER SPORTS SEASON.

GIRLS SOCCER IS CURRENTLY FIRST PLACE AND RANKS 10TH IN DIVISION 10.

BOYS BASKETBALL IS CURRENTLY TIED FOR FIRST PLACE AND RANKS SIX IN DIVISION 4AA.

GIRLS BASKETBALL IS CURRENTLY 1ST AND RANKED 16TH IN THE DIVISION 2AA BOYS SOCCER, WHICH CURRENTLY RANKS NINTH IN DIVISION SEVEN AND GIRLS WRESTLING AS A TEAM, FINISHED FIFTH IN [INAUDIBLE] AYALA AND [INAUDIBLE] FINISH SECOND AGAINST THE NUMBER ONE RANKED FIRST IN THE NATION, WHO RANKED FIRST.

SO WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR [INAUDIBLE].

SHE'S DOING GREAT. WE WILL BE HOSTING [INAUDIBLE] INDIVIDUALS IN FEBRUARY.

GIRLS WATER POLO IS FIRST PLACE.

IT'S ONE OF THE FIRST TEAMS TO [INAUDIBLE] IN DIVISION FOUR, SO THEY'RE DOING AWESOME AND AMAZING AND OUR CHEER TEAMS OF SECOND PLACE [INAUDIBLE] TOOK SECOND PLACE IN FIRST PLACE IN REGIONALS THIS MONTH AND WILL COMPETE IN [INAUDIBLE] ON FEBRUARY 4TH.

IN THE ACADEMICS DEPARTMENT, OUR ASB IS FINDING NEW WAYS TO CONGRATULATE AND RECOGNIZE

THOSE WHO CHOOSE A 3.3 GPA OR HIGHER LAST MONTH, AND WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING SOME NEW THINGS EXPERIMENTING WITH OUR GOLD AND ROYAL AND NOW WHITE STAAR AWARDS, I BELIEVE.

OUR [INAUDIBLE] OF THE MONTH WERE MRS. ROBUST WERE CERTIFIED, MS. [INAUDIBLE] FOR CLASSIFIED [INAUDIBLE] CARDENAS, MS. RODRIGUEZ, ISABELLE MAGUIRE, IVAN [INAUDIBLE], JACKIE ARMIDA, AUDREY LOPEZ, AARON A.

AND LEAH [INAUDIBLE]. THEY HAVE DONE AN AMAZING JOB THESE LAST TWO MONTHS, SO THEY WERE OUR [INAUDIBLE] LAST MONTH.

OUR 11TH GRADERS JUST TOOK THE ISDA PRACTICE TESTS TO BE ABLE TO CAASPP TESTING FOR OUR TEACHERS AND SEE WHERE THEY NEED TO SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS BEFORE THAT TESTING, AND WE WILL HAVE AN OPEN HOUSE AND FUTURE STATEMENT ON FEBRUARY 10.

IN THE ACTIVITIES DEPARTMENT, WE'RE HAVING OUR WINTER RALLY COMING UP AS WELL AS OUR SPRING RALLY.

WE'RE NOT SURE WHEN THAT WILL BE.

WE'RE TRYING TO SAVE AS MUCH COVID PRECAUTIONS AS POSSIBLE.

WE JUST HAD OUR [INAUDIBLE] BASKETBALL GAME, WHICH WE WON AGAINST WEST COVINA, AND WE ALSO ARE GOING TO BE HAVING OUR RENAISSANCE CELEBRATION COMING UP SOON, AS WELL AS [INAUDIBLE] AND OPEN HOUSE THAT I TALKED ABOUT.

IN THE ARTS DEPARTMENT WE HAVE OUR [INAUDIBLE] MUSICAL IN APRIL AND IN THE CHOIR AREA, OUR ETHAN [INAUDIBLE] WAS SELECTED TO PERFORM IN CALIFORNIA ALL CITY HONOR CHOIR, AND HE WILL BE PERFORMING WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII COLLEGIATE PROFESSOR DR.

[INAUDIBLE] FOR ONE SINGLE PERFORMANCE AND OUR BAND OUR CHOIR ARE ALL STUDENTS RAISING AS A WHOLE. SO THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE THERE WITH CAPTAIN ASH FROM THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND HIS TEAM AND IT WAS JUST AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF FEELING OF JUST BEING ABLE TO GIVE BACK AND WE WERE APPROACHED BY NCYCLE, THE OWNER OF NCYCLE HERE IN SAN DIMAS, AND THEN ALSO THE OWNER OF SC VALERO FOR THE BIKES AND WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND BONITA UNIFIED CAME TO MIND AND AS YOU KNOW, MORE THAN ANYBODY ELSE, THE DISTRICT'S STRENGTH IS REALLY IN ITS POWER, AND OUR PARTNERSHIPS, AND THEY'RE REALLY IMPORTANT TO US IN THIS PARTNERSHIP REALLY HELPED BENEFIT, YOU KNOW, SEVENTY THREE FAMILIES DURING CHRISTMAS TIME TO GET THEM BIKES.

FIRST, WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH THE SUPPLEMENT TO THE LCAP, WHICH ADDRESSES FIVE PROMPTS MOSTLY RELATED TO CATEGORICAL MONEYS IN ONE-TIME FUNDS AND THEN IN PHASE TWO OF THE PRESENTATION, WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH EACH GOAL OF THE LCAP.

WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH THE METRICS INVOLVED AND MEASURING WHETHER OR NOT WE'RE MEETING OUR GOALS. THEN WE'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT WE'RE SPENDING THE MONEY THE WAY WE SAID WE WERE GOING TO SPEND IT WHEN WE ADOPTED THE LCAP IN JUNE OF TWENTY ONE.

EDUCATOR EFFECTIVENESS GRANT IS ONE.

UNIVERSAL PRE-K PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION GRANT IS TWO.

THE EXPANDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM, WHICH IS DIFFERENT THAN THE EXPANDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES GRANT.

I'LL EXPLAIN THAT LATER.

THAT'S NUMBER THREE AND NUMBER FOUR IS IN A THROUGH G COMPLETION IMPROVEMENT GRANT.

SO WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT HOW WE'RE GOING TO IMPLEMENT THOSE FOUR CATEGORICAL PROGRAMS FROM NOW UNTIL AUGUST OF TWENTY TWO.

WE'RE GOING TO START WITH EDUCATOR EFFECTIVENESS AND WE'RE GOING TO START THERE BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONE THAT IS DONE AND HAS ALREADY BEEN BOARD APPROVED.

IF YOU REMEMBER, KEVIN LEE PRESENTED NOVEMBER 3RD ON EDUCATOR EFFECTIVENESS WITH ADOPTED DECEMBER 8TH. WHAT THAT GRANT DID, STATE PROVIDES MONEY FOR US TO TRAIN ADMINISTRATORS, CLASSIFIED STAFF AND TEACHING STAFF PROCESS THAT WE WENT THROUGH TO DEVELOP THAT PLAN WE SET WITH ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM, TEACHERS AND TEACHER UNION, CLASSIFIED STAFF AND CLASSIFIED UNION AND DEVELOP THAT PLAN BASED ON IDENTIFIED NEEDS.

WHEN WE LOOK AT THE OTHER THREE CATEGORICAL PROGRAMS, WE HAVE STARTED THOSE YET PLANNING STARTS REALLY NOW AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SPRING AND SUMMER LEADING INTO AUGUST OF TWENTY TWO. LET ME EXPLAIN WHAT EACH OF THOSE THREE GRANTS ENTAILS, AND THEN WE'LL TALK

ABOUT THE PROCESS WE'RE GOING TO DO FOR THE PLANNING.

A THROUGH G COMPLETION IMPROVEMENT GRANT IS APTLY NAMED.

STATE'S GOING TO GIVE US MONEY TO IMPROVE THE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS WHO ARE A THROUGH G COMPLIANT WHEN THEY GRADUATE.

A THROUGH G IS THE COURSE LOAD THAT A STUDENT MUST TAKE IN ORDER TO ENTER INTO A CAL STATE UNIVERSITY OR A UC.

EXPANDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM IS A GRANT THAT IT'S A $1.3 MILLION GRANT NEXT YEAR THAT WILL ALLOW US TO EXPAND DAYCARE WHILE ALSO SUBSIDIZING THAT DAYCARE FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE UNDUPLICATED, UNDUPLICATED PUPILS, ELS, FOSTERS AND STUDENTS ON THE FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH LIST.

AND THEN THIRD, PRE-K.

WE'RE GOING TO EXPAND OUR TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN NEXT YEAR.

STATES REQUIRING OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT THREE YEARS THAT WE ESSENTIALLY MAKE TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN A UNIVERSAL GRADE LEVEL JUST LIKE KINDER AND SO STARTING NEXT YEAR, WE'RE GOING TO EXPAND THAT PROGRAM AND GET IT FULLY FUNCTIONAL BY TWENTY FIVE TWENTY SIX AND SO PLANNING FOR THOSE THREE GRANT STARTS NOW.

WE'LL USE SIMILAR PROCESS THAT WE DID FOR EDUCATOR EFFECTIVENESS, TEACHERS TEACHER UNION CLASSIFIED A CLASSIFIED UNION AND ADMINISTRATORS.

WE'RE ALSO GOING TO UTILIZE OUR SCHOOL SITE COUNCILS AT THE 13 SITES TO GET FEEDBACK AND INPUT ON WHAT THAT PLAN COULD LOOK LIKE AS IT RELATES TO EXPANDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES BECAUSE IT DEALS DIRECTLY WITH DAYCARE.

WE'RE GOING TO TALK TO OUR SCHOOL AGED CARE PERSONNEL AND OUR PATRONS IN SCHOOL AGED CARE . OBVIOUSLY TO RUN THESE PROGRAMS, FACILITIES WILL BE A KEY PIECE OF THAT.

IT ALSO IS TELLING YOU THAT THE INTERVENTION PROGRAMS WE PUT IN PLACE, THEY'RE HAVING AN EFFECT ON THE STUDENTS WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN THEM AND SO WE STILL HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO, AND IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THESE NUMBERS WON'T CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

THEY CAN GO UP, THEY CAN GO DOWN, BUT THE RUBBER WILL MEET THE ROAD IN THE SPRING WHEN THE STATE TEST COMES AROUND, AND WE'LL SEE WHAT PROFICIENCY RATES ARE.

TYPICALLY, STAAR READING OVER PREDICTS CAASP PERFORMANCE A LITTLE, IN PARTICULAR IN MATHEMATICS, BUT WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE.

JANUARY DIDN'T HELP. AS YOU KNOW, JANUARY DIDN'T HELP BECAUSE WE HAD A LOT OF STUDENTS ABSENT, BUT NOW THAT THE SURGE IS ON THE DOWNTURN, WE CAN FEEL THE RATCHET UP NOW IN LATE WINTER GOING INTO THE SPRING AND WE'RE EXCITED FOR MAY FOR TESTING FINANCIALLY AND SO OVER HERE ON THE LEFT, YOU SEE, THIS ISN'T ALL IN THE LCAP AND THESE ARE THE WAYS THAT WE WERE GOING TO SPEND THE MONEY AND THEN THE BUDGETED EXPENDITURE IN COLUMN TWO. YOU GUYS ARE A LITTLE BIT YOUNGER, BUT I GRADUATED IN THE EARLY 1970S AND I HAD JUST COINCIDENTALLY BEEN LOOKING AT OR TALKING WITH A FRIEND ABOUT GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS AND I COULDN'T REMEMBER THE GIRLS HAVING HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. SO I GOT MY HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK OUT AND SURE ENOUGH, NOT A SINGLE GIRLS SPORT IN THE WHOLE YEARBOOK. AND THIS IS THE EARLY 1970S.

SO IN 1972, THE TITLE NINE WAS SIGNED INTO ACTION.

NOW, WHEN I WAS IN HISTORY, I LEARNED ABOUT FREDERICK DOUGLASS.

HE WAS JUST, OH, HE WAS INVOLVED IN SETTING UP THE CONDITIONS FOR THE CIVIL WAR.

THEN HE ESCAPED TO FIND HIS FREEDOM.

AND SOMETIMES I GET, YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES PEOPLE DON'T AGREE WITH THOSE THINGS.

BUT HE ACTUALLY FOUGHT FOR IT BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT WAS RIGHT IN A DAY THAT WAS VERY RACIST. HE ENDED UP HAVING A BEST SELLING BOOK, AND THE 14TH AMENDMENT WHICH I THINK IS VERY ALIGNED TO AMERICAN VALUES, WAS PASSED IN PART BECAUSE OF HIS ACTIVISM.

SO I JUST REALLY WANTED TO SHARE THAT STORY BECAUSE HE'S SOMEONE WHO I THINK SHOWS REAL GRIT, REAL LEADERSHIP AND CHANGED THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER.

AND I THINK IT'S VERY APPROPRIATE ON AFRICAN HISTORY MONTH TO ACTUALLY BRING UP HIS CONTRIBUTION TO OUR COUNTRY.

AND I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF MY FRIENDS TRANSITIONING A LITTLE BIT SEND ME TEXT MESSAGES ABOUT OUR GOVERNOR AND OTHER CITY OFFICIALS WHO PASS BILLS AND THEN DON'T FOLLOW THEM.

AND THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT ANGERING PEOPLE BECAUSE ON THE ONE HAND, IF MASKS ARE NEEDED, THEY SHOULD HAVE WORK.

I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT, BUT MY KIDS HAVEN'T MISSED ONE DAY OF SCHOOL THIS YEAR AND FOR THAT, I AM TRULY GRATEFUL.

HOWEVER, THE ACTIONS THAT OCCURRED LAST WEEKEND THAT WERE TELEVISED AND SPREAD LIKE WILDFIRE HAVE IGNITED AN ANGER IN MY SOUL, WHICH HAS BROUGHT ME HERE TODAY.

THEY STRIVE TO BE GOOD STUDENTS AND THEY WORK HARD FOR VERY GOOD GRADES.

THE LAST MONTH, MY OLDEST HAD AN INCIDENT AT SCHOOL.

SHE HASN'T WORN A MASK OUTDOORS SINCE SHE RETURNED TO SCHOOL BACK IN AUGUST, WHICH WASN'T A PROBLEM UNTIL JANUARY 13, WHEN SHE WAS SENT TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE BECAUSE HER TEACHER INSISTED THAT SHE PUT ONE ON OUTDOORS DURING P.E.

BECAUSE SHE WAS ON THE BLACKTOP AND MY DAUGHTER REFUSED.

MY DAUGHTER WAS TOLD THAT MASKING IS PART OF IS PART OF A SCHOOL POLICY AND THAT SHE DOESN'T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DRAW THE LINE AT WEARING THEM OUTDOORS.

SO NOW SHE WANTS TO PARTICIPATE IN GROUP ACTIVITIES LIKE PE.

SHE HAS TO WEAR A MASK OVER HER MOUTH.

HER TEACHER ONLY REQUIRES THE CHILDREN TO WEAR THE MASK, COVER THEIR MOUTH.

WE NEED TO STAY SIX FEET APART.

YET THE TEACHERS HAVE US PLAY FLAG FOOTBALL, WHICH REQUIRES CLOSE CONTACT, AND THE TEACHERS DON'T SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT.

AND THEY SAY THEY TAKE COVID SERIOUSLY.

BUT THE TEACHERS THAT SAY THEY TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY ARE THE ONES THAT DON'T WEAR THE MASK DURING CLASS, AND YET THEY GET ON TO THE KIDS TO HAVE THEIR MASKS ALONG THEIR NOSE.

AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY TEACHERS ARE MAKING US WEAR A MASK DURING PE WHEN WE'RE OUTSIDE. THEY SAY TO WEAR IT WHEN WE'RE DOING OUR EXERCISES, BUT THEN I TAKE FIVE STEPS AND I CAN TAKE IT OFF.

THAT'S A NEW STUDY THAT SAYS ONCE COVID 19 GETS AIRBORNE, THE VIRUS IS IN INFECTIVITY BY 90 PERCENT. THIS IS ONE OF MANY PIECES OF EVIDENCE THAT PROVE I DON'T NEED TO WEAR A MASK. ONE OF MY TEACHERS SAYS WE NEED TO BE SAFE AND HEALTHY.

YET SHE HAS THE STUDENTS WEAR THE MASK BELOW THEIR NOSE.

IF SHE AND OTHER TEACHERS TRULY CARED ABOUT HEALTH, THAT WE COULD ACKNOWLEDGE THE DAMAGE BEING DONE TO KIDS.

LAST TIME I WAS HERE TO SPEAK, I STARTED GET UPSET AND I STARTED TO CRY.

THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA HOW BAD THIS WHOLE THING HAS DAMAGED KIDS.

YOU'RE DOING GREAT. FOR INSTANCE, I KNOW A LOT OF KIDS WHO WEAR THE MASK NOT BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS TELL THEM TO, BUT BECAUSE THEY FEEL INSECURE.

I THINK THAT'S SO SAD TO KNOW THAT BOYS AND GIRLS FEEL THIS WAY.

ADULTS SHOULDN'T BE BRINGING KIDS DOWN.

DURING THE 2020 TO 2021 STUDY, IT SHOWS THAT DEPRESSION FOR KIDS DOUBLED BY TWENTY POINT FIVE PERCENT AND DURING THE LOCKDOWNS, AND ONE IN FIVE KIDS HAD EITHER ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION. TO ME, IT'S UNFAIR THAT HEALTHY STUDENTS HAVE TO WEAR THE MASK INSIDE AND OUTSIDE WHEN THE STAFF DOESN'T WEAR THEM.

I WALK INTO THE OFFICE AND ALL THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK HAVE THEIR MASK BELOW THEIR NOSE OR THEIR CHIN.

AND IN MY CLASSROOMS, MY TEACHERS TAKE OFF THEIR MASK.

I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WHAT THESE ADULTS ARE DOING TO STUDENTS IS WRONG.
